Just add a TV monitor and loudspeakers, and you’ve built an enviable system. With the VISO FIVE DVD Receiver, NAD offers an all-in-one system that does it all best. The VISO FIVE achieves the level of performance associated with its highly acclaimed full-size separates in a stylish, compact design. Designed to complement today’s advanced video displays, its elegant proportions and fine details make a sophisticated design statement. The VISO FIVE has a progressive scan DVD player with upscaling to 1080 with an HDMI digital video output. Built-in decoding for Dolby Digital, DTS, Pro-Logic II, EARS, and Stereo Enhanced Surround Modes jolt movies and music with breathtaking realism and excitement. The VISO FIVE will automatically recognize DTS or Dolby Digital and will switch accordingly. Also included is the new high-resolution DVD-Audio mode with up 24 bit 196 kHz resolution with full bass management included. Even though the VISO FIVE DVD Receiver may be far more compact than a separate DVD player and receiver of comparable performance, it still is very flexible. Three additional video sources, including one that’s front-panel accessible, and a six-channel audio source can be connected. With the built-in tuner and DVD/CD player, that potentially gives you access to six sources, and two of these also offer S-Video inputs and one a component video input. In addition to the monitor output, the VISO FIVE also has an S-Video and composite output. Two digital inputs (one optical, one coaxial) are provided, and, for easy transferring to a CD recorder or other digital recording device, the VISO FIVE also provides an optical digital output.
