The unit works perfectly until you try to get windows XP and Mediagate to cowork.
This results in me moving the product to the computer and hook it up with USB.
I would give it some more stars if the network worked.

Honestly, if I had to do it over again, I would get the MG-35. The wireless is nice and I was able to stream an DVD .ISO to the MG-250HD from my PC without problems (just a bit of choppiness after fast forwarding, but it went away in a few seconds). I’d get the MG-35 because the WiFi is worthless for copying the DVD images to the MG350-HD (about 2+ hours to copy one DVD .ISO file). So, if you are not going to be streaming from a computer, the wireless is worthless (unless you want to use the unit as a slow NDAS device).
It’s easy to setup. Works fine (slide show viewing is just okay). The upscaling to 1080i is nice. I couldn’t try the 1080p because my TV doesn’t support it.
The remote is fine. Some have complained about it; however, I found it to be very intuative and the layout was fine.
NDAS setup was a breeze.
CON: It has to be one of the ugliest units I’ve ever seen. Buggy software.

UPDATE: If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn’t buy this product at all. It started smoking and support was non existent.

I’ve tried a number of similar products and frankly, this is my favorite by far.
It does have some bugs, but, the vendor is constantly adding new functionality and bug fixes.
This device plays DVD ISO files like they were the original.
It has a very nice playlist system (just wish you could save them)
It does a very nice job of picture slideshows with background music (even with PowerPoint like effects)
It includes internet radio playback (Shoutcast pls files)
Protocol support:
Streaming From: NDAS, FTP, Samba, UPnP, NFS
Serves: NDAS, FTP
It supports a single PATA hard drive internally and multiple external hard drives through USB. It only has one host USB port; however, it supports (unofficially) USB hubs with no configuration changes at all.
The user interface is intuitive, if not a little dated.
Now, the bad points:
The internet radio option works very well; however, there have been times that the device locks up or reboots if the stream is really garbled.
NDAS is software emulated, so it is very slow especially over wireless. FTP over wireless is a better soluton.
The MG-350hd only supports PATA hard drives internally (the slightly newer MG-350Shd supports SATA and the brand new MG-450HD is the replacement for both is SATA)
I love this product and use it all the time….I love it so much, I’ve ordered a second (actually an MG-450HD) so that I have one for a different room and for travel.

Took me time to get wireless going. Once done, I don’t use HardDisk at all. I am streaming HD content w/o any problems, but my wireless signal is always @ 90%+.
e-mail to their tech site is a suspect, as it has been over 2 weeks I asked a question w/o answer. Looked in the forums to resolve wireless setup problems but you get a lot of misleading guidance. Also some users trash them ,but I can tell this is due to user;s technical inabilities, rather than product quality. With that said, it could be somewhat time consuming for the average non tech person to get going to their likings. I can’t imagine my wife setting it up….
All said and done, I am extremely happy with it. My wife loves it.
4 (not 5) star because some file could not be played( X something encoding) and yes, minor software bugs, which is not a big deal to me. I burned their korean firmware and now it support korean font/menu.I see they have chinese hebrew firmware as well.. Love it.
